Tiljala SHED is a grassroots nonprofit organization based in Kolkata, India, dedicated to uplifting some of the city’s most marginalized communities—particularly families from ragpicker/waste picker backgrounds. Since its founding in 1987, the organization has worked tirelessly to provide vulnerable children and youth with access to holistic education, nutritional support, life skills training, and safe spaces to grow.
