June 5th reminds us to care for nature—but what about the other 364 days? Every Day Should Be Environment Day!
While rallies and tree plantations mark the occasion, the reality is grim: plastic clogs our drains and water bodies, ponds and wetlands are vanishing, and biodiversity is under threat. Despite annual observances, we continue to ignore the pressing need for sustainable living.
This year, Dr. Abdul Kalam Trust For Education & Charity joined Para Nutrition Welfare Society in Burdwan for an awareness rally, urging daily environmental action, to take long-term environmental responsibility, not just engage in symbolic activities.
We've appealed to authorities to stop illegal pond-filling and plastic pollution. The message is clear—environmental protection must be a lifestyle, a daily commitment and not a ritual or a one-day event. Our choices—from what we eat to how we travel—shape the health of our planet. Let’s act every day, for nature, for future generations, and for ourselves.
