Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm on 15th August, 2025 by the Children and Staff of South Calcutta Public School & Ananda Bhawan (both are the units of The Biswas Educational Foundation). 

The National Flag hoisting was followed by march past by the children & school band, along with a presentation of patriotic songs, skits and dance program themed on our freedom struggle and events that led to winning our independence from the British Colonial Rule. The program showcased the struggles & sacrifices made by our revered freedom fighters for our motherland. It was a treat to watch the children dressed up for the occasion .

The Independence Day celebration help the children revisit the history of our independence struggle & they pay respect to the lives lost for our country. The event help them realize the value of our freedom and how important it is for each one of them to grow up to be worthy citizens of our country and respect our motherland.
